Apples and A Cappella
On Saturday and Sunday, September 20th and 21st, Adams Apple Orchard and Farm Market will celebrate it's 15th annual Fall Festival. A cappella groups from around Vermont have performed at this festival over the years, and this year is no exception.
The Contemprorary A Cappella Society is a non-profit organization, dedicated to bring a cappella music to the world. Since 2003, CASA's Tunes to Teens program has put music in the hands of young singers. Donated a cappella CDs in a variety of styles are sent out to junior high and high school chorus directors, and they give each of their students a CD to keep as their own. So far, this program has only cost Music Directors the price of postage.
Until now...
Vermont a cappella groups will be performing at the Fall Festival to help make Tunes to Teens free, putting more music into the hands of developing singers. For every dollar raised, one more student will receive a cd. $25 can bring music to an entire chorus.
Join us at the festival for some great music, family fun, and a chance to help bring song to every corner of the globe.
If you would like to know how you can donate, please contact Chris Tess tunestoteens@casa.org, the Director of Tunes to Teens. If your a cappella group would like to perform at the festival, please contact Joe Antonioli joe@vermontvocals.org, Treasurer for CASA.
